Bulk Billed Skin Cancer Check
At Doctors@Coomera Central we offer early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of Skin Cancers.
Australia has one of the highest rates of Skin Cancer in the world. Approximately, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with Skin Cancer by the time they are 70. The majority of Skin Cancers are caused by exposure to the sun.
Many men put off seeing a doctor until something is wrong. At Doctors @ Coomera Central, we make it easy to look after your health, with practical, confidential care focused on prevention, early detection and managing any concerns. Whether you are due for a check-up or have something specific to discuss, our GPs are here to help.
Men's Health Checks
A men’s health check is a good way to understand where your health stands and to pick up any issues early, often before symptoms appear. Depending on your age and history, your GP may check your blood pressure, weight, cholesterol and blood sugar, review your lifestyle and family history, and recommend any screening that is due.
Heart and Metabolic Health
Heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes are common and often preventable. Our GPs can assess your risk, arrange any tests needed, and work with you on a plan to help protect your long-term health.

Prostate and Bowel Health
We can discuss prostate health and the options for prostate checks, and help you stay up to date with bowel cancer screening. Your GP will explain what each test involves so you can make an informed decision about what is right for you.
Sexual Health
You can talk to our GPs confidentially about any sexual health concern, including erectile difficulties, low libido, sexual health testing and contraception. There is no need to feel embarrassed. Your doctor will listen, assess the underlying causes and discuss appropriate options with you.

Mental Health and Wellbeing
Looking after your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. Our GPs can support you with stress, anxiety, low mood, sleep and alcohol or other concerns, and can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan to help you access further support where appropriate.
Skin Checks and Preventive Care
Men have a higher risk of some skin cancers, so regular skin checks are important. We also offer immunisations, health assessments and other preventive care to help you stay well. See our Skin Clinic and Immunisation Clinic pages for more.
Bulk Billed
We are a mixed billing practice. We bulk bill medical consultations for children aged 16 and under, concession and pension card holders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, and DVA card holders. Health assessments, care plans, mental health treatment plans and immunisations are bulk billed for all patients with a valid Medicare card. Other consultations may involve a fee. See our Booking and Fees page.

Men's Health FAQs
What is included in a men's health check?
It depends on your age and history, but it may include blood pressure, weight, cholesterol and blood sugar checks, a lifestyle and family history review, and any screening that is due. Your GP will tailor it to you.
How often should I have a check-up?
This varies with age and risk. Many men benefit from a check every one to two years, and more often if managing an ongoing condition. Your GP will advise an interval that suits you.
Can I talk to a doctor about sexual health concerns?
Yes. You can discuss any sexual health concern confidentially with our GPs, who will assess the causes and talk through appropriate options.
Do I need a referral for a men's health appointment?
No. You can book directly with one of our GPs. If you need to see a specialist, your GP can arrange a referral.
Is a men's health check bulk billed?
It depends on your eligibility. We bulk bill several patient groups and specific services, while other consultations may involve a fee. See our Booking and Fees page or ask reception.
