At Doctors@Coomera Central we offer early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of Skin Cancers.
Australia has one of the highest rates of Skin Cancer in the world. Approximately, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with Skin Cancer by the time they are 70. The majority of Skin Cancers are caused by exposure to the sun.
Looking after your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and you do not have to face things on your own. At Doctors @ Coomera Central, our psychologist provides caring, confidential support in a safe and welcoming space. Whether you are going through a difficult time or want help with something specific, we are here to listen and work with you at your pace.
How a Psychologist Can Help
Our psychologist can support you with a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, low mood and depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, and life changes and challenges. Together, you can work towards understanding what is going on and developing practical strategies to help you cope and feel better.

Who We Support
Our psychologist works with children aged 5 and over, adults, couples and families, offering both one-on-one and, where appropriate, group sessions. Care is always tailored to you and your situation.
Our Therapeutic Approaches
Our psychologist draws on a range of evidence-based approaches depending on your needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Therapy. Specialist support is also available using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), which can help people affected by trauma and distressing memories. Your psychologist will talk through the approach that may suit you best.

Mental Health Treatment Plans
If you are dealing with a mental health concern, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This can give you access to Medicare rebates for a number of psychology sessions each year. The plan itself is bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Book an appointment with one of our GPs to discuss whether a plan is right for you.
